She grew up under the influence of closet musician parents. After High school moved to Seattle where her experiences with underground hip hop friends/emcees awakened her lyricism and gave her the nickname, "Lady L." All the while, years of hula dancing, "breaking" to funk beats, and grooving to early 90's R&B have fine tuned her musical ear. She has a music foundation cultivated not by formal training in voice or guitar, but rather, by years of music appreciation and respect. With that experience, her live acoustic sets have already turned the heads of poets, emcees, dj's, visual artists, and dancers from Hawaii to the UK and continues to win the hearts of musicians and music aficionados alike.
